ABOUT / COLLECTIVE

Based in Chicago (IL), the MitchellMovement Collective is a repertory dance project that uniquely fuses contemporary dance with aspects of physical theater and clowning techniques. Our mission is to bridge the connection between the performers and audience through each creation, while cultivating an exciting and provoking dialogue throughout the dance ecosystem. Our Artistic Director/Choreographer, Taylor Mitchell, provides a playful and collaborative environment to utilize each artist’s individuality in conjunction with all creative processes and live performances. The MitchellMovement Collective encourages the forever-feeding spirit of imagination and curiosity through all processes, showings, workshops, and productions.

In past years, the MitchellMovement Collective has performed at the Harvest Contemporary Dance Festival (Chicago, IL), Inaside Dance Chicago Choreography Competition (Chicago, IL), the College of DuPage Choreography Competition (Glen Ellyn, IL), and looks forward to upcoming productions and International residencies in the near future.
